Terri volunteers to care for rescued puppies until they can be placed in good homes. She takes the puppies to her shop, K-Nine Treats, where she sells fresh-baked, healthy dog treats, and custom-made doggy coats and sweaters. Her supportive customers are eager to help with feedings and socializing.
Carter, with whom she shares a budding relationship, helps her with a rescue after a fire. A partner/owner of the mall in which her shop is located (though she doesn't know it) he admires her volunteer work.
However, he learns after the fact that his company is trying to evict her to rid the mall of dogs. When she finds out he is part owner of the mall, she believes her eviction is his fault.
Their fragile bond is broken because she can no longer trust him even though she was coming to love him.Their dogs get along so well, but is there any chance they could?
